Considerations before you start hiring.

Growth

Considerations before you start hiring sound challenging. But, it’s actually a good problem because it means there is growth in your business. We recently had an event where we worked with some of the best professionals in the business (pictured), and it has helped us understand things we need to consider before hiring.

Considerations-when-you-hire

The Nomadic Fun Casino Hire brand is currently going through this fascinating growth phase, and we have been fortunate to have mentors and coaches to learn from.

The best quote I’ve found so far on this is from Steve Maraboli, who says – Every blessing comes with a burden –“Happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them.

Think differently

The most consistent thing everyone has mentioned is that we need to think differently. So we have been clearly writing down what we do and what we are trying to achieve.

Be very clear on what is required for each role.

You have probably been working crazy hours wearing so many hats since you started your business. There’s a likelihood that you have been doing some jobs you are not skilled at, don’t like doing, or unnecessarily take up a lot of your time.

I learnt that you need to write everything down. You have to be extremely clear on what you will need your team members to do when hiring them.

Do you need someone on a short or long term basis?

Everything is dependant on your research. Do you have enough work for your new employee, or is it beneficial to hire a freelance professional for a short period?

Get advice

The best thing we have done so far is to speak to everyone—HR Consultants, project managers, team-building experts and anyone happy to chat. We are learning about employment contracts, sick leave, pension commitments and collaboration. Experience or internship is another one. Do you have the capacity to train people or go with experts in their field? These are necessary considerations before you start hiring; they can save you a lot of pain later.

Conclusion

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read our blog. Please feel free to leave comments, as I would love to learn from you. I’ll write a bit more about this topic as we continue to grow. Also, please take a look at the services we offer at https://www.nomadic-events.co.uk/#. We look forward to meeting you at one of our events soon.
