Nomadic Fun Casino Hire’s season of growth

Hard work versus luck

Many enthusiasts lose a significant amount of interest in playing poker for a living when they begin to study the game. This often happens because the game starts out looking so easy. It soon becomes obvious after doing some research that success is more dependant on hard work than luck. READ MORE

Nomadic’s best laid plans

Our plan

Growth was my focus as we moved into 2020. It had been three years of learning how to survive and thrive. Nomadic Fun Casino Hire had weathered all the storms that every new business has to go through. We were ready, then this ……. READ MORE

COVID 19: Finding peace in the storm

Working from home

Lockdown

We’re currently going through the ‘delay’ phase of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in London and we have all been instructed to stay at home. It effectively means that if you are not a key or essential worker, you need to stay in your house to reduce the chances of catching or spreading the virus.

Small business owners and self employment

The Government are currently doing everything to save the economy including promising to pay workers 80% of their expected wages while in isolation. There has been little said about self employed workers and small business owners in the emergency budget and this has raised a lot of panic in my little World. We expect some more information from the authorities this week.

How to scale a small business

The beginning

Nomadic Fun Casino Hire started out as a one man band. I would hire one or two extra dealers, hire a van, deliver tables and entertain guests. After the event, I would put the equipment back into the van, drop them at home and return the van. Job done!

I have a feeling most small businesses start this way. People often hire from people they know and trust therefore it is necessary for most small business ventures to start with a face.

Chicken today, Feathers tomorrow

They say old habits die hard. Many years ago, I used to be a ‘chicken today, feathers tomorrow’ type of poker player. Money just seemed to burn holes in my pocket. I was either doing well or broke, period.
Thankfully, we are older and much wiser (?) now.

The Christmas season is over and I am tempted to just run into the shops and spend, spend, spend but this would not be a smart option. January is historically a quiet season for Fun Casino Hire event companies and the sensible option is to budget for this period. We are feeling blessed and grateful because we are still receiving enquiries for events in January.
Thank you so much for hiring us throughout the year. We are here because you have trusted us to entertain you at your awesome events. We will never take you for granted.
Wishing you a happy new year.  I convinced myself that I won’t bother with resolutions this year but reconsidered.
The truth is, we need to set goals even when we fail. Falling short is never a good reason to stop trying. (I didn’t manage to do this 2019 and I sincerely apologise. I’ll be trying much harder this year). I also plan to exercise regularly, I believe these two are connected.
Please check us out at www.nomadic-events.co.uk to see the services we provide. We look forward to catching up with you in the new year. Wishing you all the best always.
